During a friendly match against La Liga team Sevilla Tottenham defender Ben Davies was forced off the field.
The central defender is an important part of Antonio Conte’s team. Last season he featured in 29 of the 38 Premier League games, while most pundits admitting his progress since the arrival of the Italian. The loss of such a player for an extended period would greatly mess up Antonio Conte’s plans for the start of the season.
As Charlie Eccleshare of The Athletic says, the injury fortunately doesn’t look very serious and the defender will continue preseason training with the team.
‘Ah, that’s not good – he is coming off after all. What a rollercoaster. Doesn’t look serious thankfully.’

The good thing is that the first signs of the injury showed early in preseason training and the Welshman has another month to fully approach the season in great physical shape.
