‘What a player’ – Chelsea star Ben Chilwell reacts to Tottenham’s deadline day call

Chelsea defender, Ben Chilwell, has posted on Instagram ‘what a player’ after Dele Alli reacted to his Tottenham Hotspur exit on Tuesday evening, writes the HITC.

On deadline day, and after seven ‘incredible’ years in Tottenham colours, Dele left for Everton on a permanent basis.

When Alli sent the following emotional message to fans regarding his exit, several players reacted to his deadline day departure from Spurs, including Ryan Sessegnon who posted: “Will miss you brother. All the best.”

For far too long now, Dele has stagnated in Tottenham colours and this was the right call for all parties.

After bursting onto the scene as a fresh-faced teenager, where he was likened to a Frank Lampard because of his late runs into the box, he now has the chance to work with the man people constantly stated he was like.

Perhaps that spark of working with Lampard at Finch Farm will re-start a career of a player that hit 20+ goals from one season from the middle of the park.

And if a struggling Everton side can get a goalscoring Alli going again, then they will surge up that table under Lampard’s stewardship.

The Toffees, after that now-infamous spell of Rafa Benitez, are trying to look and find hope after a number of years of struggle.

A traditional top-six club, the Toffees should be, at a minimum, pushing for Europe, but Farhad Moshiri’s crazy spending and odd decision-making has resulted in the club going backwards than forwards.

But perhaps, Everton now have the right formula with the likes of Lampard, Alli and Donny van de Beek, added with more to come, around the training ground to finally push forward.
