West Ham on a finish line to close the deal: 25-year-old German footballer has agreed terms with club

PSG defender Thilo Kehrer is set to join West Ham in the nearest future. The 25-year-old German footballer has agreed a contract with a new club, and the Hammers are close to an agreement on a transfer with the Les Parisiens. This is reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.

Thilo Kehrer joined Paris Saint-Germain from German side Schalke in 2018. Last season, the German footballer took part in 27 matches of the French Ligue 1 and scored two goals. In PSG shirt Kehrer has become a three-time French champion, two-time winner of the National Cup, winner of the League Cup and French Super Cup. The defender’s current agreement with PSG runs until the summer of 2023.

Since 2018, the defender has been called up to the German national team. The head coach of the French club Christophe Galtier does not count on the player in the new season. Kehrer was moved to the reserve side along with some other “undesirable” players, where he would play in France’s fifth division, Nacional 3.

West Ham lost to Nottingham Forrest in the second round of the Premier League (0:1). In the next match, the Hammers will host Brighton on 21 August.
