West Ham could make major statement as Moyes allegedly “really wants” £30m midfielder

West Ham United are allegedly really keen to sign Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report from Fichajes who claims that Valencia are concerned that the 25-year-old could leave this summer with just 15 months remaining on his current deal at La Mestalla.

Hammers boss David Moyes will undoubtedly be a very busy man in the transfer market this summer.

The Scot desperately needs to bring a top-class striker to the London Stadium before the start of next season. The additions of a centre-back and a left-back are needed as well.

Central midfield is an area that has been somewhat overlooked due to our weaknesses in those positions mentioned above.

Mark Noble is set to hang up his boots at the end of the season whilst Alex Kral will almost certainly be sent back to Spartak Moscow having failed to impress in East London.

And it seems as though David Moyes has an interesting plan up his sleeve to address the lack of depth that he has available to him in the middle of the park…

Fichajes reckon that the Hammers ‘really like’ the 25-year-old midfielder and are preparing a ‘great proposal’ to sign him in the summer.

We think that the Valencia ace would be a truly exceptional addition for West Ham before the start of next season. He has been described as a ‘sensational’ player by The Mirror.

Soler is a really gifted technician, as most Spanish central midfielders are.

He possesses impeccable technique and has a wonderful range of passing.

The 25-year-old has been in superb form for Valencia this season, bagging nine goals and four assists in 21 La Liga games so far (Transfermarkt).

Soler is a Spain international and has proven himself to be a truly elite midfielder throughout the years.

Interestingly, Soler is very strong according to Who Scored, and should be able to adapt to the Premier League well enough.

The Valencia ace has an unbelievable work-rate as well so it’s easy to see why Moyes would like to sign him.

The Spanish ace was valued at around £30 million a year or so ago (The Sun). With his contract expiring in the summer of 2023 though, Valencia will surely not be able to demand quite that much for Soler anymore.

If David Moyes manages to bring him to the London Stadium in the summer for around £15-20 million, it would be really good business for West Ham.

And we think that Soler is exactly the type of player we should be looking to sign.
