A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to voice their delight at the latest transfer claim to emerge regarding Matthijs de Ligt, informs the TIS.

According to reports, the Lilywhtes have informed the Dutch defender of their ‘total willingness’ to sign him in recent days with a potential January exit on the cards.

The report also claims Antonio Conte’s side are prepared to make a serious bid for the 22-year-old with the defender looking for a new opportunity after two years with Juventus.

It seems it is not just Spurs who are interested in De Ligt ahead of the January window with Chelsea and Barcelona also tipped as potential landing spots for the Dutchman.

However, it seems these Spurs fans feel the addition of the 22-year-old could help bolster their top-four hopes with the significant experience he has gathered at such an early age.
