It’s an open secret that West Ham need to sign a striker in the summer transfer window.
In fact, the Hammers have been looking to bring in a striker for the past two windows, but somehow they failed in their attempt.
This summer, they have no other options but to bring in someone as they cannot simply rely on Michail Antonio for the entire campaign.
The Hammers may have been handed a big chance to sign Bayern Munich striker Joshua Zirkzee who is currently on loan at Anderlecht.
He moved to the Belgian league in order to get regular playing time and has been a massive hit under Vincent Kompany.
The 20-year-old has managed 15 goals and nine assists in all competitions so far.
He has a contract with Bayern till 2023, and the German giants will reportedly decide whether to keep him or sell him.
Zirkzee was linked with a move to West Ham in February (Jeunes Footeux) and the news will come as a huge boost for them.
According to a report from Bild, the German giants are more inclined to sell him. Bayern are expecting a fee of at least £4.1 million for the youngster. It was previously thought that the Hammers will have to pay almost double the amount.
Zirkzee is not in the mood to return to Germany, leaving the door ajar for the Hammers to make a move for him in the summer.
While, he may not the solution Moyes is looking at, considering his form, age and abilities, there’s a player who can develop into a fantastic asset.
