According to Italian publication Calciomercato, Tottenham have reached a verbal agreement of close to £20 million to sign Udinese left-back Destiny Udogie.
Contacts between representatives of the player and Spurs have been taking place for a month. After a verbal agreement, Udinese owners, the Pozzo family, hope to receive a reasonable fee for the player.
As part of the agreement, according to the Italian publication, the player will remain at Udinese on loan for next season, and after that, he will join Spurs on a full-time basis.
Udogie has previously repeatedly stated his desire to play outside of Italy:
“I would like to head out [of Italy], maybe England.”
