Tottenham told to consider signing three PL stars, including £10m Leeds man and England ace

Dean Ashton has told TalkSPORT – as per Leeds Live – that Tottenham need to look in the Premier League for a Harry Kane replacement. The ex-England man suggests Leeds star Patrick Bamford and Wolves and Southampton stars as options. It remains to be seen if Kane will leave.

Of course, it has been widely reported this week that 28-year-old England skipper Harry Kane remains absent from Tottenham training. Some suggest it is to do with the need to isolate after a holiday in the Caribbean. Others believe it might be because Kane is desperate to leave, and is on strike.

Jack Grealish is edging towards a move to Manchester City. Some reports say a deal prevents Kane from joining. The Tottenham man is seemingly keen on a move. Now, Ashton has suggested three replacements – £10million Leeds signing (Mail) Bamford, Raul Jimenez and Danny Ings.

“Nuno might want something different,” Ashton told TalkSPORT as per Leeds Live. “If you look at who he had at Wolves, Raul Jimenez is the kind of player he clearly he likes, someone to have that role as a centre forward. They’re hard to find, there’s not many around in the Premier League.

“You look at Bamford, who is of that ilk, who can lead the line, work incredibly hard, link the play. Jimenez is another if he shows his fitness. Danny Ings could be an option. He’s someone who guarantees goals in the Premier League, but there’s question marks over his fitness.

Tottenham will be desperate to keep Kane and it must also be said that it is near impossible to replace a player of that quality. Whether Spurs do sell, it will be interesting to see who they target. Raul Jimenez has the goalscoring focal point that Kane boasts – but lacks the creatitivy of the Tottenham star.

Ings is probably more creative than Jimenez and still scores goals. But his last move to a big club did not work – and injury is a concern, as Ashton says. Bamford scored 17 last season, creating eight more. Leeds ace Bamford, though, is still some way off Tottenham favourite Kane.
