Leeds United’s star striker Raphinha is the target of many clubs. However, the priority for the 25-year-old midfielder has always been Barcelona.
It was known that Raphinha has agreed on personal terms with Barcelona, but the money offered by the Catalans does not satisfy Leeds.
According to the Spanish newspaper SPORT, Raphinha’s agent has repeatedly met with representatives of Barcelona to discuss the transfer. After the meetings, the striker decided to give time to the Catalan club to draw up an offer.
Meanwhile, the hampered negotiations between Barcelona and Leeds have given the top Premier League clubs – Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea – a chance to step up.
Arsenal made a £40 million offer this week, including bonuses, but the price also does not suit Leeds.
The potential of the player is incredible, as is the asking price set by the club. It really comes down to whoever can pay the amount demanded will secure the services of the 25-year-old striker.
