Fabio Paratici has no regrets over the Harry Kane saga.
The Italian has opened up on what was one of the stories of the summer.
Harry Kane was linked with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Manchester City keen.
However, the Cityzens managed to get one England man in Jack Grealish whilst failing to sign Kane.
This has seen Spurs kick off the season with their number 10 still around.
So far, it seems that the summer saga has impacted Kane’s performances.
But Paratici has no regrets over how the Kane situation was handled.
“Harry Kane loves Tottenham.”
“We’ve decided to keep Harry last summer to start the re-building, and we’re happy with our choice.”
“There’s no need of any new talk with Harry. He knows how to share the sense of belonging to Spurs”
Paratici’s words leave nothing to interpretation.
It’s clear that Kane has got a love for the Lilywhites, even if he wanted to leave.
But now he faces a long season ahead where everyone at the North London side need to pull in the same direction.
In six Premier League appearances, Kane is yet to net.
However, across all competitions he’s bagged six goals in ten games (Transfermarkt).
It’s just a matter of transferring this form in the Conference League and Carabao Cup to league action.
Seeing as Paratici has no doubts in Kane’s ability and his loyalty to the club, the fans need not be worried.
The club will deal with any future saga accordingly but for now the football has to come first.
Next up for Spurs is a trip to Newcastle.
The Magpies will be rejuvenated after their recent takeover, but with an on-song Kane, Spurs have enough to win.
