Tottenham Pinpoint Two Key Positions for Investment Under Ange Postecoglou

Tottenham Hotspur are prioritizing the signings of a defensive midfielder and a versatile forward during this summer’s transfer window, according to a report by The Athletic.

Spurs have already secured the services of Timo Werner for another season, with the German striker’s loan spell being extended for the 2024-25 campaign. They will also be bolstered by the arrival of young Swedish talent Lucas Bergvall, who will join the squad for pre-season.

However, the focus for manager Ange Postecoglou seems to be on strengthening the midfield and attack. The report claims Tottenham are actively seeking a top-class defensive midfielder to solidify the center of the park.

Furthermore, the North London club is also looking to add a versatile attacking player who can play on the wing and provide cover as a center-forward when needed.

The Athletic suggests any additional signings will depend on player sales. Spurs might look to replace Emerson Royal, Ben Davies, Giovani Lo Celso, and Richarlison if they depart the club this summer.
