Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte speaks out about transfers of players who were left in London

Antonio Conte recently revealed that Sergio Reguilon, Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso were aware of Spurs’ plans for the upcoming season.

All four players were left out of the preseason tour to South Korea, also missing the game against the Rangers.

Ndombele and Lo Celso were forced to leave on loan, last season, to Lyon and Villarreal respectively. The Frenchman’s unsuccessful loan had many consequences as well. There are not many clubs who are ready to buy the midfielder. In turn, Lo Celso regained his form in the Spanish team, and now negotiations on his sale continue.

Harry Winks did not play much in the last months of the season and with the arrival of Yves Bissouma it will be even harder for him to appear on the field and get playing time. Reguilon, who was beaten by young Englishman Ryan Sessegnon, has also lost his position and is looking for a team.

The Italian manager commented on the situation with the future of these players:

“I think that we spoke with the club and the players are informed about the plans for the next season. We are talking about really good players and the club and I, we think they deserve to play games regularly. For this reason these players are not here.”
