Correspondent Alasdair Gold recently discussed Tottenham’s new transfers on his channel: Spurs sixth signing Djed Spence. The transfer value of the player is estimated, with bonuses, up to £20 million.
The right-back zone has always bothered the Italian specialist. And he intended to solve this issue in the summer transfer window. The club had to seriously work on the transfer of the young Englishman.
According to Gold, the Italian will be happy to work with the player, he sees in him the qualities that match his game system.
‘Everyone I hear – three people have told me this – that he’s not a signing they would have made under previous managers. He very much is tailored towards ticking the boxes for Conte in a wing-back, which is height, pace, strength, fitness and ability to take on players with the ball.’
