Speaking on his channel, insider Alasdair Gold commented on the possible move of Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence to Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham has been linked to the 21-year-old in recent weeks. The interest has been also confirmed by Middlesbrough head coach Chris Wilder.
However, according to a Football London reporter, talks between the clubs have made little progress:
“It’s a very strange one, From what I understand right now there still hasn’t been progress on that one. We know the facts of this one, we know that Chris Wilder has come out and said he expects the move to happen. Spence wants to come but Middlesbrough want to get the right value for him.”
Middlesbrough clearly explained the situation around the young Englishman. They are ready to let him go, but for a certain fee. Tottenham, in turn, want to reduce the asking price of the player, as they consider it too high. So the parties continue to negotiate the transfer of the 21-year-old defender, but as recent Spurs business suggests – Fabio won’t waste too much time when the other side is slowing down the process.
