Fabirizo Romano has suggested on Twitch that there is a possibility that Tottenham Hotspur land both Cristian Romero and Nikola Milenkovic this summer.
Romano initially tweeted that a move for Milenkovic could be dependent on Tottenham failing to sign Romero.
The Fiorentina defender is thought to be a plan B option for Spurs, as they weigh up options to improve their defence.
However, it seems that a double deal could also be possible – with Romero and Milenkovic both joining.
“There is a possibility that Tottenham will sign Cristian Romero and Nikola Milenkovic this summer,” Romano said.
“I’m confident about the deal because Romero is the priority – he is excited about Tottenham.”
If Tottenham were to sign Romero and Milenkovic then they could completely transform their defence.
But any double deal is likely to depend on outgoing transfers.
Toby Alderweireld has already departed, but his exit is unlikely to have raised enough funds to provide Tottenham with the money to bring in both Romero and Milenkovic.
Tottenham are likely to need to sell one of either Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez before they could consider making such an expensive double swoop.
Whether they will be able to do that remains to be seen, but Alasdair Gold has claimed that Sanchez is attracting interest from multiple clubs, with Spurs seemingly ready to cash in on him.
