Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has been speaking about Harry Kane and his mood at Tottenham Hotspur, writes the HITC.
It’s no secret that Kane was unhappy and wanted to leave Tottenham in the summer. It was reported in almost every outlet, and that infamous interview with Gary Neville all but confirmed his desire to leave.
As we all know, Kane never got his move, and he had, perhaps begrudgingly, to stay in north London.
However, now, with Antonio Conte at the helm, it seems as though Kane has done a complete U-turn on his feelings towards Spurs, as Fabrizio Romano claims that he’s now super happy at the club and he’s excited about what the future holds under Conte.
Romano shared what he knows about Kane.
“I want to say that Harry Kane, now with Antonio Conte, he’s super happy. He scored his goal and he thinks that the situation has changed with Antonio Conte and Paratici. The atmosphere is very good, but we will see in the summer. I don’t see Harry Kane leaving in January. The relationship with Conte is very good, they see each other as the future of the project,” Romano said.
Appointing Antonio Conte was an ambitious move from Tottenham, and it’s seemingly a move that’s convinced Kane that the club is headed in the right direction.
We’re sure that Kane would love nothing more than to stay at Spurs and win trophies, but, to be honest, we can understand why he’d think that was impossible in the summer. The north London outfit looked absolutely directionless and were about to make one of the most disastrous managerial appointments in their recent history.
However, Conte is a serial winner and he’s already begun to turn the tide at Spurs, so it’s no surprise to hear that Kane is once again feeling happy at the club.
Let’s see what happens in summer, but we certainly wouldn’t be shocked if the England captain ended up staying at Tottenham.
