Tottenham’s left-back Sergio Reguilon does not fit Antonio Conte’s game system. The Spaniard has yet to make the North London squad this season.
The defender himself is interested in Lazio move, and the club of Rome, according to the Italian press, has another 48 hours to formalize the player’s transfer. After that, a competitor for the player, Nottingham Forest, who is ready to get the left-back, comes into play.
The only obstacle that is delaying the deal is the player’s wage bill, which is £3 million a year. Lazio insist that Spurs pay most of the Spaniard’s salary.
The problem arose from the clause on the mandatory buyout of the player, which Lazio, so far, is not ready to do. In turn, Nottingham Forest are ready to fulfill all of Tottenham’s conditions.
