Summer transfers: Conte identifies ‘exceptional’ free agent he thinks would be perfect for rebuild

Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a swoop for Ivan Perisic this summer, according to ESPN, informs the TBR.

The Inter Milan ace is a player that both Spurs boss Antonio Conte and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp like.

Perisic played under the current Tottenham coach at the San Siro, winning the Serie A title last year.

He also plied his trade under the incumbent Reds boss at Borussia Dortmund, where they also won silverware.

“I am really looking forward to seeing Ivan Perisic,” Klopp said before Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Inter.

“I really like him. We won the double together.”

However, the likelihood is that, if Perisic moves to the Premier League, it’ll probably be at Tottenham.

Spurs have been linked with the Croatian for a number of months and speculation has resurfaced again.

According to ESPN, Spurs have emerged as a possible alternative destination for Perisic, also on Juventus’ radar.

The player himself is reportedly open to a possible reunion with Conte in north London too.

The Tottenham boss apparently believes Perisic can replicate his title-winning wing-back efforts from 2021 in England.

Although Perisic reportedly favours Juve, Spurs are said to have been encouraged to believe a deal may be reached.
