Spurs’ selling stance is unchanged – club looking for alternatives for player

Spurs have rejected a lease agreement on midfielder Giovani Lo Celso. A contender for the Argentine player’s services is Fiorentina. The Italian side is strongly interested in the midfielder, but they would consider only a loan deal with possible buy-out clause. Tottenham, on the other hand, insists on permanent transfer.

The player’s price has scared off a number of clubs and Fiorentina as well. The club is forced to look for other options.

According to Italian newspaper Corriere Fiorentino, Spurs are considering other options to extend the Argentine’s career. The Serie A club offered Spurs a loan deal with an eventual buyout for 15 million euros. Tottenham responded by refusing.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham will change their position on the Argentine, but they need to balance the books after a buying spree in June, so most likely an agreement will be reached between the clubs.
