Spurs have reportedly set their sights on Yacine Adli.
According to Foot Mercato, Tottenham are eyeing the Bordeaux playmaker.
Spurs aren’t the only team linked with Adli, however.
Tottenham are apparently up against the likes of AC Milan and Lille for the 21-year-old’s signature.
Indeed, L’Equipe (via Get French Football News) claims the Italian giants have made an offer worth €10million (£8.5million).
If the reports are true, Spurs fans should be excited about their club pursuing such a high-calibre talent.
A product of the Paris Saint-Germain academy, Adli made his debut in May 2018.
He replaced Christopher Nkunku after 83 minutes in the final match of the Ligue 1 campaign, a 0-0 draw with Caen.
That was Adli’s only senior PSG appearance, and in January 2019, he moved to Bordeaux for a reported €5.5million.
Since then, the 21-year-old has gone on to make 69 competitive appearances for Bordeaux, registering five goals and eight assists.
In addition, Adli has also won five caps for France’s Under-20s.
In 2019, the Ligue 1 website deemed Adli “one to watch”.
“With his quick feet, willingness to use his weaker left foot to beat his man and create space, ability to play between the lines, and Algerian heritage, comparisons with French footballing great Zinedine Zidane are almost too obvious.
“But it is difficult not to be put in mind of the Real Madrid manager in his playing pomp when watching Adli.
