Romero was not very “impressed” with his teammate’s play during the first half against the K-LEAGUE XI

According to Alasdair Gold, speaking live on Football London’s match coverage, the Brazilian right-back Emerson Royal annoyed Cristian Romero in the first half during Tottenham’s victorious game against the K-League XI.

The fact is that with the score at 0-0, the Spurs right-back missed a free-kick. After some brilliant work by Riсharlison, the ball bounced to Emerson, and the chance he had should have ended in a goal, but the defender hit the side netting.

Romero’s reaction was explicitly visible on the replay, and it was clear that Romero wasn’t particularly impressed with the Brazilian’s performance.

“It’s a sitter but he slides it wide. Romero does not look impressed,” Gold reports.

After the first half, the Brazilian was replaced with Son Heung-Min higher on the pitch. Antonio Conte is increasingly exploring the capabilities of the talented defender and does not let him relax for a minute. Moreover, his closest rivals for a place in the lineup – Djed Spence and Matt Doherty – are already approaching.
