Richarlison has quipped that the stakes are high for Antonio Conte to produce results following the impressive win record of his assistant Cristian Stellini, who has taken charge in Conte’s absence.
Stellini has led Tottenham to four consecutive wins without conceding any goals, including a recent 2-0 triumph over Chelsea, as well as victories over West Ham, Manchester City, and Marseille earlier in the campaign.
The manager, Conte, will remain absent for the upcoming FA Cup match against Sheffield United, and is not expected to return until this weekend at the earliest. Richarlison anticipates that the results during Conte’s absence will be closely monitored by him upon his return.
Speaking to ESPN Brazil, Richarlison expressed his belief that the current stand-in manager, Cristian, has performed well, but the pressure is now on Conte. Richarlison added, with a laugh, that they will have to wait for Conte’s return.
“But all the work… Professor Conte tells Cristian to give us the work. We will continue like this [for now], we are at a very good pace with two Premier League wins in a row.
“It’s important to keep it that way.”
