Report: Tottenham set to offer established star a new deal if current performance levels can be sustained

Hugo Lloris has been a fantastic servant to Tottenham Hotspur down the years.

The Frenchman is certainly a fantastic goalkeeper, but he won’t be at the club forever.

The ageing shot-stopper is getting on for ten years in North London, but that doesn’t mean his performances are getting any worse.

At the age of 34, it is being reported that Tottenham could be set to give Lloris a new short-term deal (Alasdair Gold).

This deal would hinge on Lloris continuing to show the consistent performances that he has been showing this season.

It’s hard to see a way in which the player’s levels fall so far that he’s all of a sudden not in the frame for a new deal, but stranger things have happened.

Lloris has bailed Tottenham out many a time, so it would certainly be nice to see him get a new contract.
