Defensa Central claim Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Tottenham wonderkid Bryan Gil, with a view to a potential move in the future.
Gil, 20, has quickly made himself a favourite among the Spurs faithful with some exciting performances, having joined the club in the summer.
Now a fully-fledged Spain international, Gil joined Spurs for a fee of just £21.6million last summer – as well as the inclusion of Erik Lamela.
Initially, Gil seemed as though he was going to be used in the Conference League and domestic cups. But he is edging closer to a league start.
He has come off the bench four times in the Premier League – including half-four stints against Chelsea and Arsenal. Madrid are taking note.
Fabio Paratici pulled off one of the most-underrated deals of the summer when he landed Gil. One of Spain’s most-exciting talents – for £21.6million.
The inclusion of Lamela sweetened a deal, of course, but Lamela’s value at the time probably only takes the value of the transfer up to £30million.
But Gil’s potential far exceeds that value. As stated, he is regarded as one of Spain’s best talents. To already have four caps at 20 is proof of that.
He is the future of Tottenham’s attack and both Daniel Levy and Paratici must fight tooth and nail to keep Gil in London. A waste, otherwise.
