The real reason why Kane has yet to return to Tottenham Hotspur pre-season training has been revealed.
He was due to return to training on Monday, however, the England international failed to turn up. His absence carried over into today, when he also failed to turn up.
But, according to Daily Mail, the striker only returned from a holiday in the Caribbean 48 hours ago. As a result, he is required to quarantine for up to 10 days because he has entered an Amber list destination
However, the 28-year-old will take a day five ‘Test to Release’ Covid procedure. If he provides a negative test, he will be allowed to return to training by the end of the week.
Despite his isolation, it seems Kane is keen on leaving the club this summer. He’s been linked with a move to Manchester City, who have been quoted an asking price of £150m.
The star man has been painted to be a bit of a villain over the last 24 hours or so.
Claims were suggesting Kane was skipping pre-season training in order to force through a move. Fabrizio Romano said the ace chose not to turn up and it was not due to Covid tests.
It really painted a dark picture about the club’s best player.
However, the report about Kane eases fears he was skipping Tottenham pre-season on purpose.
There was a real worry the figure would sour his relationship with the Spurs faithful. He could’ve made himself a villain like how Sol Campbell did when he moved to arch-rivals Arsenal in 2001.
But, it seems the reports may have jumped the gun and Kane is still very much acting professionally.
