Report: Alasdair Gold believes Tottenham will certainly reinforce one position this window

According to reports from journalist Alasdair Gold, Tottenham will be keeping a close eye on central defender options in the transfer market.

The correspondent believes (via Gold’s YouTube) that Spurs Italian manager Antonio Conte is not yet satisfied with his dealings in the transfer market and is actively watching for opportunities to sign a central defender to his team.

Joe Rodon has already left the London club, and the future of Japhet Tangangа is also uncertain. Therefore, according to the journalist, the Spurs are open to new additions.

“I think they’ll look at another centre-back either way – maybe even if Tanganga doesn’t go. Although, I’d imagine maybe he will, I think, just purely to get a lot of football out of him, and obviously a fair few Italian clubs are interested in him.

“I think it could be either; I think it could be young or old, and I know that’s a right-down-the-middle answer, but I think it’s as simple as that – I think it’s whatever deal comes up.”
