Report: 24-year-old Spurs man set for crunch talks with Nuno and Paratici

According to the Evening Standard, Tanguy Ndombele is set for crunch talks with Nuno Espirito Santo and Fabio Paratici this week.

Well, the 24-year-old’s future at Spurs looks very uncertain.

Ndombele wanted to leave Tottenham during the summer transfer window, as The Times believe Spurs have failed to keep him happy.

Now, after his two closest friends at the club in Moussa Sissoko and Serge Aurier left, the £200,000-a-week man is set for a discussion about his future.

The Evening Standard believe Nuno and Paratici’s patience with Ndombele is wearing thin, as they’re keen to get the £53.8m asset playing again.

So far this season, the 7-cap France international hasn’t played a single second of football under Nuno.

However, there is a general feeling – according to the Evening Standard – that it’s down to Ndombele to change his situation in N17.

Whatever is going on with Ndombele at Tottenham, Nuno and Paratici need to resolve it during these crunch talks.

The former Lyon midfielder is far too good to be wasting away on the sidelines, especially when Spurs don’t have another player like him.

So far this season, Nuno has used a midfield pairing of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp, who are certainly putting in 100% effort.

However, the pair lack a bit of guile, and a touch of creativity.

Adding Ndombele to the midfield would certainly give it a new dimension.

The Frenchman excels at resisting opposition pressure with some tidy footwork and carrying the ball up the pitch.

In Nuno’s counter-attacking system, that latter trait should come in handy.

Even if Nuno sees no long-term future for Ndombele at Tottenham, he has to start using him – Daniel Levy would surely be furious to see a £53.8m asset waste away and end up with poor resale value.
