Redknapp Urges Tottenham to Re-sign Veteran Former Star

Tottenham Hotspur has been without a permanent manager after the exit of Antonio Conte, and their lack of direction is reflected in their performance on the field. With back-to-back draws, they have slipped out of the Champions League places and are now looking for ways to improve their game.

Former Tottenham boss, Harry Redknapp, has weighed in on the matter, saying that the north London club needs someone to run the game for them. He suggests signing Luka Modric, who he thinks can provide a calming presence in midfield to keep hold of the ball.

Modric, who is currently out of contract at the end of the season, could be a target for the club he left over a decade ago. Redknapp thinks that Tottenham needs better recruitment, especially someone who can put their foot on the ball in midfield. He also believes that Modric would be the man to solve the problem and that they should take him for two years.

Redknapp’s assessment of Tottenham’s game is based on their draw against Everton, where they were unable to capitalise on leading with the Toffees down to 10 men. He observed that they kept giving the ball away, which was a major problem for the team.

On the issue of Tottenham’s managerial search, Redknapp is not sure who the answer is or if Spurs could even get the man that they want, with Chelsea also looking for a new permanent boss. He acknowledged that Tottenham is in a bit of a mess and that whoever comes in as the new manager has to bring in quality players in the summer.

Redknapp suggests that Tottenham needs a calming presence in midfield, and Modric fits that role perfectly. He brings quality to the team and can run the game for them. However, it remains to be seen if Tottenham will take Redknapp’s advice and make a move for Modric, who is also being linked to other clubs.

In conclusion, Tottenham needs to address their midfield problems, and signing a player like Modric could be the solution they need. However, they also need to focus on their recruitment and bring in quality players if they want to improve their game and compete at the highest level.
