Conor Coady has refused to be drawn on Harry Kane’s situation at Tottenham Hotspur on Sky Sports News.
The Wolves centre-back was asked about Kane, after the Tottenham striker opted to stay away from training.
Kane is thought to be looking to force through a move to Manchester City this summer.
The problem for the Spurs striker is that he has three-years left on his deal, which leaves Daniel Levy in a strong position to negotiate a transfer.
Kane has seemingly now taken matters into his own hands by not showing up to training.
And when asked about what Kane had done, Coady was not about to vilify the England captain, who has just spent the summer with.
“Harry has his own situation going on with Tottenham. It’s hard for anybody outside that situation to speak about it,” the Wolves man said.“Him and the club will sort out his own situation. We’re looking at it from the outside. It’s hard for me to speak about that.
“He’s a true professional, a world class footballer and he’ll come up with that situation with the club himself.”
Interestingly Coady’s quotes come amid rumours that Tottenham want to sign him.
90 Mins have said that Nuno wants Spurs to sign Coady as he looks to add to his defence, and has asked the club to sign him.
If Coady does move to Tottenham then he will likely be hoping that Kane is kept around.
However, whether Spurs will be able to fight off City’s interest at this stage remains to be seen.
What is known is that Tottenham will not sell Kane cheaply, despite his recent actions, and it will now be up to City to pay the asking price if they want to sign the 27-year-old.
