‘Played beautifully’ – commentator blown away with Spurs midfielder’s performance in today’s match

Tottenham’s pre-season preparation began with a 6-3 victory over South Korea’s K League side. One of the revelations today was the play of a young graduate of the Spurs academy Oliver Skipp, who delivered a brilliant first half.

Rob Daly, commenting on the match, spoke well of the 21-year-old at Spurs Play, while noting that it was only his first game since a groin injury he suffered in January.

“He’s played beautifully in this first half, Skipp. His first appearance since January remember.”

Since Antonio Conte became the head coach of Tottenham, the Englishman has been a staple link in the starting lineup. His performance in today’s match is another confirmation of why the Italian specialist values the midfielder so high.

The England U-21 national team player will have a serious competition for a place in the starting lineup. Skip will have to do his best during these weeks to make his position better in Antonio Conte’s pecking order.
