Paratici’s job at Tottenham has been complicated by Levy’s £13-million mistake last year

Fabio Paratici’s excellent work is now producing excellent results.

Little time has passed since the opening of the transfer window, and already Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma have been signed. A total of £25 million has been spent on these transfers.

The problem area for Tottenham today is the right and central defender. And here, we should pay due attention to a deal from a year ago. The fact is that Tottenham sold Argentinian player Juan Foyth from Villarreal, for just £13 million.

Under Unai Emery, the Argentine defender is beginning to reach his potential, having reached the semifinals of the Champions League last season. Foyth’s potential was already evident under Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham’s decision to sell Juan Foyth has made things very difficult for Fabio Paratici, now they will have to look for new players in the market to strengthen the defensive line.

Hopefully, Paratici can find a way out of this situation, but the decision of the club’s management 12 months ago has made the current situation with Spurs’ defensive line very difficult.
