Spurs have a lot of work to do this summer to bolster their ranks ahead of next season.
But that’s exactly why Tottenham brought in Fabio Paratici as their new managing director of football.
The Italian helped bring Nuno Espirito Santo to N17 and is now looking for new recruits.
And one player who Spurs are apparently looking to sign could really cause a buzz around the club.
That player is Marcus Thuram, a 23-year-old attacker who plies his trade for Borussia Monchengladbach.
According to Foot Mercato, Tottenham have now made the signing of the France international a priority.
The French outlet also claims Thuram has a €30m (£26m) release clause in his contract that must be triggered, with the club unwilling to negotiate a lower price.
Marcus Thuram is the son of France legend and 1998 World Cup winner Lilian Thuram.
He has carved out an impressive career of his own and looks set for a bright future.
Thuram started his career at Sochaux and earned himself a move to Gladbach in 2019.
He has made 79 appearances for the German club, with 25 goals and 21 assists under his belt.
Thuram’s efforts helped him make the France squad for Euro 2020.
