The coming weeks will be key for Tottenham in terms squad overhaul. According to Alasdair Gold, on his YouTube channel, Spurs intend to say goodbye to several players.
Tottenham’s first sale task of this transfer window was the shift of Steven Bergwijn to Dutch club Ajax. The transfer amounted to £28 million. His departure is, so far, the only prominent outgoing deal of Tottenham during the summer period.
A number of players, in addition to the Dutchman, may leave the club. A far more difficult situation is with Giovani Lo Celso and Ndombele. If the former is chased by several clubs who currently cannot meet the Tottenham’s demands, then in case of Ndombele Paratici must deliver a bit of magic to capitalized at least some part of the huge fee Spurs spent several years ago.
Goldbelieves that Spurs executive director Fabio Paratici will focus on selling players in the nearest weeks.
‘This will be phase two of Tottenham’s transfer window – getting some of these players out the door. From everything I understand, the idea for now for Spurs is to focus in the next week or two on really getting players out the door.’
