‘Not Kane, not Son’ – One Spurs player completed Conte’s brutal session better than the rest

Pre-season training camps of European clubs are in full swing. Tottenham are preparing for the season in South Korea – in the homeland of Son Heung Min. But this doesn’t make it easier for the Korean himself – Antonio Conte’s pre-season loads were incredibly difficult for Son.

At one of the training sessions, the 30-year-old striker he fell on the lawn and collapsed. The heat in Seoul (during training, the thermometer rose to 30 degrees Celsius) and Conte’s legendary demands were the reason: the Italian forced the players to run 42 circles around the field.

Harry Kane was sympathetic – he approached Son and helped him up. The Korean left the field with a smile to the applause of the stands.

Kane also experienced physical problems in training – at some point he felt so bad that he threw up. All this was observed by 6 thousand spectators who gathered to watch the training.

Both Kane and Son did not train with the team prior to their arrival in South Korea – Tottenham gave their leaders a longer vacation. Perhaps this is the reason for the heavy rolling of attackers into the workflow. Conte could have given the players some time to build up, but did not do this – he immediately threw them into the hot oven of the training routine.

Troy Parrott, the 20-year-old striker of the London club, felt better than the rest in training. The Irishman exploded on the last lap and finished first. “I’m a pretty good runner, but it was tough. It was hard work, but it was preparation,” Parrott said after the session.
