Tottenham Hotspur target Ruslan Malinovskyi is dreaming of a move to N17 this summer, amid reports linking him with the Lilywhites, as informs the TIF.
This is according to reliable transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who has been speaking on his latest Here We Go podcast about Fabio Paratici’s plans for the rest of the window.
The Ukrainian midfielder is believed to be on the radar of the north London club, but it is also said that Marseille are a side that have expressed their interest.
However, with a potential move to Ligue 1 on the brink of collapsing, Romano believes the Atalanta playmaker is now hoping his future lies with Antonio Conte’s side.
He said: “Many Spurs fans asking about Malinovskyi, because it’s true that Ruslan Malinovskyi dreams of Tottenham. He would love to join Tottenham. So on the player’s side, the message is pretty clear.
“But the only club who made an official proposal at the moment to Atalanta is Olympique de Marseille, a swap deal with Cengiz Under, but on the Atalanta side, it’s a no to current conditions. So no agreement with Olympique de Marseille as of now for Malinovskyi. Let’s see if Tottenham will decide to jump into it or not.”
Spurs have been linked to a number of creative midfielders this summer, including the likes of Nicolo Zaniolo and James Maddison – but neither looks likely to join with one week of the transfer window remaining.
Financially, a move for Malinovskyi may make a lot more sense for Spurs given the 29-year-old now has just one year remaining on his current deal with the Italian side.
Since playing in the Italian top flight, he has consistently delivered double figures in combined goals and assists in each of his three full seasons.
And he has wasted no time in getting off the mark this season, with a goal and assist in his first two games on the pitch, whilst off the pitch, he has taken to Twitter to drop a potential hint as to where he wants to move to in the next week.
