Everton want at least ?80million in order to sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to reports. Manchester United are keen on signing the striker as they seek a replacement for Edinson Cavani, who is expected to depart. Yet the Toffees star certainly won’t come cheap.
Calvert-Lewin did well for Everton last season, scoring 13 goals from 36 Premier League appearances.
However, the 24-year-old has taken his game to the next level this term – already bettering last year’s goal tally by one having played in nine less matches.
As a result, he’s been linked with a move away from Goodison Park when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.
And, now, Stretty News say United have come calling.
It’s said they recently made an enquiry to Everton but were then rebuffed, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side wanting ?80million to let the player go.
A striker now appears to be United’s priority, with Cavani’s future up in the air.
The Uruguay international has been a big hit since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain back in the summer, scoring 10 goals across all competitions.
He’s been a regular under Solskjaer since returning to full fitness following an injury – yet his days at the club may now be numbered.
Boca Juniors want to sign Cavani and he’s reportedly keen to return to South America after a year of living in England.
And Calvert-Lewin could be his replacement.
