After several weeks of rumors and Twitter leaks Tottenham have finally sealed the signing of Clement Lenglet. Yesterday, it was announced the French international joins the N17 on a season-long loan.
Our fifth summer signing significantly improves Antonio Conte’s options for the defensive line, where the Italian keeps his favorite three-at-the-back formation.
Lenglet will face competition from Ben Davies for the starting eleven list.
The 27-year-old has registered fifteen appearances for the France national team, and of course he knows our veteran goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
The defender told the Spurs media team that Hugo is a club’s legend. He also added:
“I spoke a lot with Hugo to know about the city and everything to ensure I am good with my family in London.”
“When you speak to a player who plays in the Premier League, they say it is a beautiful league where you fight every week and it’s very hard to win.
“I want to play a lot of games and win to fight at the top of the table.
“It would be a dream to win a trophy with Tottenham.”
