West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui is reportedly weighing the option of recalling Jean-Clair Todibo to the starting lineup for the upcoming match against Bournemouth on December 16. According to GIVEMESPORT, Todibo, who has had a strained relationship with Lopetegui, could be in line for a return after making efforts to mend the rift between them.
The 24-year-old French defender, who joined West Ham in the summer, had a heated exchange with Lopetegui during the team’s 5-2 defeat to Arsenal on November 30. As a result, Todibo was relegated to the bench for West Ham’s 2-1 victory over Wolves on December 9, having missed the Leicester City match due to injury.
Despite the tensions, Todibo is reportedly eager to settle his differences with the Spanish manager, who, in turn, is open to putting their issues behind them. Lopetegui is now seriously considering Todibo for a starting spot when the Hammers face Bournemouth, as the defender seeks to return to regular first-team action.
Todibo’s future at West Ham has been in question due to the ongoing friction with Lopetegui, but his determination to resolve the situation could pave the way for his reintegration into the squad.
