Journalist Says He Keeps Being Told ‘Attacking Coach’ Could Get the Spurs Job

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Back Pages Podcast, Ogden shared that Slot’s name keeps coming up whenever he’s making checks about Tottenham’s next move. Slot is currently the head coach of Feyenoord, a Dutch professional football club. He has been making waves in the Netherlands for the past two seasons, leading his team to the Europa Conference League final and putting them on course to win the league this year.

Slot’s success with Feyenoord is even more remarkable given that he lost two of his most important players, Tyrell Malacia and Luis Sinisterra, last summer. However, bringing him to Tottenham now would be a risky move, as Ogden points out. While success in the Eredivisie is exciting, it’s not always a sign of a top-class manager.

Despite this, Ogden believes that Slot would be a good appointment for Tottenham. He described the coach as an “up-and-coming” talent and praised his work at Feyenoord. However, he also acknowledged that Slot’s relative inexperience could be a factor in his success at Tottenham.

It’s not surprising that Tottenham is looking for a new manager. The team has been struggling for form in recent months, and its failure to qualify for the Champions League has only added to the pressure. However, the appointment of a new manager is not a decision to be taken lightly.

It remains to be seen whether Arne Slot will be the next manager of Tottenham Hotspur. However, if he is, it will be interesting to see how he adapts to the Premier League and whether he can help the Spurs return to the top of the English game.
