In his latest piece for SportsKeeda, SkySports pundit Paul Merson has revealed that he is not sure that the move for ex-Everton striker was a right one.
Merson wrote in SportsKeeda: “Tottenham have had a very good transfer window so far. I’m not too sure about Richarlison, and I’d play Kulusevski ahead of him.
The reason for that claim is that he does not see Conte choosing Richarlison over Kulusevski in the pecking order, though he understands the logic behind this signing as Tottenhem are likely to play a ginormous number of games in comparison with previous campaign.
“They’re in the Champions League and have more games to play this season, so in that sense, Richarlison ticks a box.”
In our view, Richarlison is a smart signing and that huge fee can quickly pay-off. One of the biggest factors of Spurs dropping points last season was the absence of instant impact from the bench, especially at the start when Harry struggled to regain his form.
