Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski has told the club’s official website that head coach Antonio Conte was extremely unhappy with the team’s performance in the changing room. It was a tough win against Nottingham Forest but Spurs managed to take their three points and return home victorious.
A double by star striker Harry Kane decided the outcome of the match, and Conte’s team managed to win with a score of 2-0. However, Tottenham’s performance was not the best under the Italian specialist. Throughout the game Forest possessed the ball most of the time, but Spurs were able to realize their best moments.
Speaking to Spurs Play, Swedish player Dejan Kulusevski said there was serious tension after a game in which Spurs were clearly not good. Head coach Antonio Conte was angry about that performance and demanded better performances from the team.
“I’m going to be honest, we want to play much better,” he said.
“We all think that we can do much better. So, we’re happy with the win and that we didn’t concede but we know that we can play so much better.
“And the coach [Conte] also knows that so he was a little bit angry with us and all the right. We just have to continue like this and then improve because we have more to show.”
That said, Spurs have been able to get off to a decent start in the Premier League, winning three of their four games. The team’s resilience and cohesion is evident this season, something many have not seen in years.
Last season, if they played poorly, the Londoners failed to achieve the desired result, unlike this season, where Conte’s manages, although not showing their best game, winning games time after time.
The Italian understands that Spurs will improve over the course of the season, and now it is important that the team remains in the same winning mood.
