Jamie O’Hara has told talkSPORT that Raphinha was the star player for Leeds United in their weekend win despite the hat-trick of Jack Harrison, and claimed that he would love the Brazilian at Tottenham Hotspur, writes the TBR Football.
Harrison rightfully took many of the headlines as Leeds produced a stunning win at West Ham. The winger bagged all three goals as Marcelo Bielsa’s men left the London Stadium with the three points.
However, there is a debate to be had regarding who stole the show. Many felt that Pascal Struijk was superb, while Lewis Bate was amongst those also lauded.
But it is hard to argue with those who felt that Raphinha was back to his best in Leeds’ win at the Hammers. The wide-man played a key role in all three goals, hit the bar with a brilliant free-kick, and should have had another assist when Mateusz Klich’s effort was ruled out for offside.
Of course, Leeds’ hopes of holding onto Raphinha will not have been helped by his display. Certainly, Robbie Keane has suggested that the 25-year-old could play for any top side in the world.
It would definitely be a coup for whichever club that is able to ultimately lure him away. And O’Hara has admitted that he would love for Tottenham to make a move to sign Raphinha from Leeds.
“Jack Harrison got the hat-trick, but the star player was Raphinha,” he told talkSPORT. “He just glides past people, the way he moves. The free-kick he almost scored, just everything about his game.
“I’d love him at Spurs, I’d love him. But I don’t know if he’d ever come and Leeds definitely wouldn’t sell him, but brilliant player.”
