Jamie O’Hara told Sky Sports News that he has changed his mind about the transfer of Richarlison from Everton.
From the beginning, the ex-Spurs midfielder admitted he was not sure that the Brazilian would fit into Antonio Conte’s team.
Now, however, he says the 25-year-old striker will strengthen the squad. Richarlison will be able to provide the right depth in the attacking zone for the Italian specialist.
“I think it’s a huge signing for us. There are a lot of games to compete in next season and the squad is thin. He is bolstering the squad. It’s just about whether he can now step up and get in front of Son, Kane or Kulusevski because them three were different class last season”
The 25-year-old Brazilian’s move to Tottenham was previously viewed with skepticism by O’Hara. Many pundits also doubted the transfer, but in our opinion Richarlison will be used by Conte to stretch the attacking dimension of Spurs and to find the key in the games where we need to play more minutes in the defence. The latter includes that the Brazilian does not have to net 20+ goals to click in the Conte’s system.
