Fenerbahce manager Jorge Jesus was very disappointed with the departure of one of the team’s most important players, Kim Min-Jae.
According to Calciomercato, two Premier League clubs – Tottenham and Everton – are claiming the defender.
The South Korean player has a £19 million compensation clause in his contract, which gives the top clubs a chance to close the deal quickly. Jesus gave his opinion on the defender’s imminent departure:
‘His transfer was planned. But it was a surprise for me. I heard (about Kim’s exit) two days ago.‘
The coach says the potential club will pay a fee and the transfer will happen:
‘Unfortunately, our club can’t do anything about it. We can’t keep him. The club interested in him will pay the termination clause in the contract. It was a big blow to learn it.‘
‘We have other players of excellent level. But Kim has important qualities.‘
