Italian outlet Viola News revealed yesterday that Tottenham Hotspur are close to signing Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
The 25-year-old is reportedly admired by both Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici, and he is viewed by Spurs as a replacement to Tanguy Ndombele, who is set to leave the club in the coming days.
The report claimed that talks between Spurs and Fiorentina are progressing well and the only thing that’s left is for the player himself to give the green light for a move this month.
That is now set to happen, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
Amrabat, who is currently away at AFCON with Morocco, is well aware of all the negotiations that are going on in Florence between Spurs and Fiorentina.
Romano has revealed today that talks between the two clubs are at an advanced stage now. Tottenham are waiting for Ndombele to leave the club before completing a deal for the Moroccan, who has been praised for his ‘exceptional technique on the ball’.
To add to Spurs fans’ excitement, Romano further revealed that personal terms will not be a problem as Amrabat ‘only wants Spurs’ and no other club at this moment in time.
