Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to send a message to Tanguy Ndombele, insisting that the Spurs star can be anything he wants to be in North London and warning him not to waste his years with the club.
Ndombele remains a Tottenham player despite being linked with a move away during the summer.
It was reported that he had told the club that he wanted to go. And it was reported by The Athletic in the final days of the window that Fabio Paratici had been working on potential swap or loan deals involving Ndombele.
However, they failed to find a new home for the Frenchman. And he will now be setting his sights on returning to the fold under Nuno Espirito Santo.
He is yet to feature this season. But Spurs fans know how important he could be to their fortunes if he rediscovers his best form.
And Roberts has now sent a message to the 24-year-old on social media. The Spurs hero urged the midfielder to focus on getting back on track…
With the window shut, it is surely in Ndombele’s best interests to try and force his way back into Nuno’s side.
He was unable to attract the kind of offer Spurs would have considered. And that is unlikely to change if he continues to play a peripheral role in North London.
As Roberts suggests, many at Spurs will be desperate for Ndombele to succeed.
But they would also benefit if he decided to put his frustrations to one side even if only for a few months in the hope of proving himself once again.
