Dutch winger Steven Bergwijn has officially moved to Eredivisie champions Ajax, the club’s official website confirms.
Insider Fabrizio Romano reports that the Dutch player successfully passed his medical on Friday morning.
The value of the deal between the two clubs is €30 million (£25,8 million).
Dan Kilpatrick confirms on his Twitter that Ajax will “pay a fixed transfer fee of €31.25 million” for Bergwijn. Previously it was rumored that the payment will be split.
Bergwijn was in the structure of the Ajax club until the age of 13, after which he moved to PSV. The Dutchman moved from PSV to Tottenham in January 2020 for 27 million pounds.
According to De Telegraaf, Premier League clubs Manchester United and Everton were willing to pay £35 million for the 24-year-old player. The player opted for the Dutch champion.
