One of Spurs most reliable reporters, Alasdair Gold, insists on that Fabio Paratici will monitor the transfer market until its very end in order to seal a potential bargain deal for a new striker.
Speaking to the ‘Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham’ podcast, Gold said:
“From what I understand, they’re gonna continue to monitor opportunities for any strikers out there.”
That claim comes a little unexpected, given that the club recently spent nearly 60 million to bring ex-Everton star Richarlison. This move is a confirmation that Levy tries to provide the necessary support for Conte to compete on all fronts next season. The Brazil international is an extremely versatile attacker able to cover the entire front line where necessary.
However, it seems like the attacking depth on the bench is yet to be fulfilled and Conte wants a direct rotation back-up for Harry Kane. Currently the club is focused on other transfer goals, but reportedly Spurs will put ears to the ground until the last day of the summer window in case a surprise possibility comes to the surface.
