Frank Lampard handed major Dele Alli and Donny van de Beek dilemma as changes forced

Just days after kicking-off his Everton reign with an FA Cup victory over Brentford – Frank Lampard was brought back down to earth with a bang on Tuesday night.

Despite taking the lead through Jamaal Lascelles’ own goal, Newcastle United hit back to score three times and claim all three points at St. James’ Park.

The defeat leaves the Blues just two points above the drop zone, although they do have a game in hand on the two sides currently below them.

Next up for Lampard’s side is a home game against Leeds United on Saturday, and below is a look at the changes he could make to his starting line-up.

Despite not having his finest night’s work in a Blue shirt against Newcastle, Jordan Pickford is still one of the first names on the Everton teamsheet.

Just in front of him, Michael Keane and Mason Holgate should both keep their places given the Blues are extremely light in terms of central defenders.

The injuries to Yerry Mina and Ben Godfrey mean Lampard has very little choice but to select the pair who started against Brentford and Newcastle.

While further forward, Allan is likely to once again be given the nod as he is the only Blues midfielder who can play in the holding role.

Further up the field, both Anthony Gordon and Richarlison would be expected to be still in the side to try and fire Everton to better results.
