‘Firepower’ – Wright explains why he sees Tottenham Hotspur finishing in the top four

There are only a handful of matches left in the Premier League season, and the race for the top-four remains tight; as a result, each game will be magnified, especially if the other clubs around them come away with three points, writes the BoyHotspur.

Pundits are giving their opinions on who will come away with the fourth spot. Former striker Ian Wright has claimed that Tottenham will probably make the Premier League’s top-four over Arsenal if they can sort out their consistency during a segment on the Premier League productions (via HITC).

This past week, Arsenal suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool; meanwhile, Tottenham won by the same scoreline defeating Brighton & Hove Albion.

“Yes, it is. It’s one to look forward to (the north London derby when it’s rescheduled),” Wright said. “I don’t think it will disappoint too much, the north London derby, especially when there is something on it. Tottenham, with what the manager is trying to do, I think, they have the quality to be in there, but do they have the consistency?”

“If they do, then they will probably make it because of their firepower. We saw with us (against Liverpool) if you can keep Saka and Martinelli quiet, then you are probably going to shut us down from an attacking point of view, so we need to find other ways. Other players need to step up. We need to find more offensive power.”

Arsenal is in fourth place and is trying to fend off Manchester United, West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Wolverhampton Wanderers. These next couple of months will see a fight, considering what Champions League football would mean to some of these clubs’ projects.
